Hybrid Electric Powered Car
Hybrid Electric vehicles are vehicles that use both the usual propulsion system and rechargeable energy storage. These kinds of cars can save up fuel consumption compared to a conventional vehicle. Its engines are smaller than a conventional vehicle.
These Hybrid electric cars are very fuel efficient. But they are more expensive as compared to other alternative fuel vehicles because of the extra parts needed for the car. It is a mixture of both gasoline and electric car.
A hybrid vehicle has a smaller engine compared to a conventional car. It is believed that the bigger the engine, the higher the energy the car uses. Since hybrid vehicles have smaller engine, it takes up lesser power, yet producing a greater speed and ability.
The Honda Hybrid car named, Insight was brought to the United States in the year 2000. Honda tried to make the car as efficient as it can be. It is a two-seater, with a high efficiency gas engine and yet produces a great mileage rating. Another great Hybrid car is the Toyota Prius. |
