CNG Powered Car

CNG or Compressed Natural Gas is a substitute for petroleum or diesoline fuels. Same as with petrol, CNG also produce motor energy through combustion, but they produce lesser harm to the environment. A natural gas car is very beneficial to the environment and yet cheaper on the pockets of consumers.

There are many advantages of a CNG powered car. First advantage of buying CNG Motors powered cars is that as I've said earlier it promotes less pollution to the environment compared to petroleum fuels. Secondly, CNG is a natural gas, therefore it can be found almost anywhere in the world, unlike the fuel petrol or diesel which are found exclusively in other regions such as the Middle East.

Many disadvantages of these CNG fuels are also expected. First, although these may be available anywhere, it still needs safety concerns when it comes to carrying them because they are needed to be placed in a pressurized fuel tank. Another disadvantage is that its natural gas density is low, thus producing lesser performance on the engine.

One example of a CNG vehicle is the Ford CNG Car.1 This CNG vehicle has a storage capacity of up to 107 liters or 18kg of Compressed Natural Gas. With that much fuel, it allows the car to run up to 300km or 200 miles on that single tank and additional gas on the deposit may allow the car to run for another extra miles.
